“Dear Attorneys: What Seasoned Psychologists Want You to Know” is a unique, tailored webinar experience crafted by these seasoned psychologists with a combined 180 years experience in the field. They have put together this series out of concerns for what they have been observing: an ongoing misuse of psychological testing in forensic settings, coupled with a dearth of litigation skills on how to address it. They are convening this series to provide attorneys and other members of the defense team just such information, background and strategies for a better defense of your clients.

Part Three: What to Expect from a Neuropsychological Evaluation and How It Differs from a General Psychological Evaluation
Presenter:
Glena Andrews, Ph.D., MSCP, ABPP, was trained as a neuropsychologist at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and Fuller Graduate School of Clinical Psychology in Pasadena, CA. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology. She holds a post-doctoral Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology. She has been a researcher in the areas of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, Dysgenesis of the Corpus Callosum, and physiological responses (EEG, ECG, EDA) for most of her career. She is the researcher for the FAS BeST, a screener for detecting the behavioral profile of individuals with prenatal exposure to alcohol. Research has found that 60% of those with FAS will be involved in the legal system and FAS individuals are believed to make up 30% of defendants. Dr. Andrews is trained, has taught, and practices as a neuropsychologist. She was an undergraduate and doctoral level professor of psychology at four universities. From 2021-2023 she worked as a neuropsychologist in the US Air Force hospital at RAF Lakenheath, England, with a focus on pain management. She began working for Oregon attorneys in 2018, conducting neuropsychological evaluations. In October 2023, she began working full-time, conducting forensic neuropsychological evaluations. Dr. Andrews is an Oregon certified as a forensic evaluator.
