Moderated by Attorney Jason Short, Salem
Make sure you are giving your clients correct information about IID requirements, and ensure they're complying with their requirements to have an Ignition Interlock installed in their vehicles.
Kevin Ely and Jake Luquin of the Oregon State Police Ignition Interlock Program will discuss the program to educate attorneys about the program and OSP's role regarding the Ignition Interlock.
Kevin Ely is the program manager for the Ignition Interlock Device for the Oregon State Police, a position he started in December of 2022. Prior to being a program manager, he was a patrol Sergeant for the Salem Area Command for more than 6 years. He has more than 23 years of law enforcement experience with city, county, and now a state agency. Kevin was a part of OSP’s Collision Reconstruction unit and a multi-agency crash team for 17 years in and around the Salem area. He writes, "I have been married to my amazing wife for almost 31 years. My wife and I have two grown kids, 2 granddaughters and a 3rd grandchild on the way."
