What is attorney well-being and how does it relate to your ethical duty of competence? In this one-hour presentation, Nell Brown of the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Portland will discuss the ABA’s definition of the term and its relationship to attorney competence. She will emphasize:
• the importance of prioritizing self-care
• ways to identify and address substance abuse• ways to identify and address vicarious traumaYou will learn practical strategies to maximize health and wellness, including tips for better nutrition, sleep, and exercise to improve basic health functions.
